The territory of Chieti is rich of story and of culture, characterized from follow each other of sweets and sunny covered hills from magnificient vineyards. Is here that is produced most of the wine of the wine abruzzese, in fact Chieti is the second national producer of national wine. Numerous are the agricultural cultivations in the province: from the orchards of the Val of Sagro to the vegetables of the Valle of Alento. Mattering is the cultural property of the province: from the complex of roman Terme of Vasto, the ancient Histonium, to the Palazzo of Avalos and imposing volume of San Giovanni in Venere in the territory of Fossacesia. As for the cusine typical of the zone is the ventricina, a delightful salame, flavoured with seeds of fennel and flavoured of paprika. Same speech for the cheese pecorino, the lamb "casce e ove" and the Maccheroni to the Chitarra.
