Situated in the fertile and green po plain, the zone is intensely cultivated and its flat and rich field of water quite adapt to the production of the rice that is one of the strong points of the local economy. The novarese have depositions of the roman domination period. To visit the magnificent monuments that go back to the period of the Roman emperors and to the successive dominations, between everything the most famous are the Mura Romane, the Palazzo of the Arengo, the Palazzetto of the Paratici (XIII century) with eighteenth-century loggetta, the Palazzo of the Podestà and the Palazzo of Referendaria.
